My husband's Grt Grandmother was Mary J Gilbert Henderson, possiibly born in Frankfort, Pike Co MO.His Grandmother , Bertha Bell Henderson Hays was supposed to have an Uncle who was a music teacher. Bertha's mother, Mary Gilbert Henderson, died in 1891, while Bertha was attending Louisiana Mo High School . Was your Nathaniel Gilbert a music teacher by any chance? In the 1875-1876 Hawley's City Directory for Louisiana MO, a Baptist College is listed. Also there are listings for a Carrie GIlbert on Georgia and 3rd and a William Gilbert who was a cooper for E. M Craig. Do those names ring any bells?
