Following my recent message I have received from Sedalia this new information: John Nelson Dalby partnered J.H. Hogue in a wholesale grocery business there. In the 1880s it became Dalby and Porter (partner T.J. Porter). John Dalby married Lucy Waller of Lafayette Co., MO. In 1882 they had two children living, George L. and John Leroy Dalby. Two others had died: Nelson W., killed by an engine aged five, and Lucy who died at two years. John Dalby was a Deacon of Christian Church and member of Sedalia School Board. He lived on the corner of Fifth St. and Washington Ave. Can anyone provide information on the descendants?
