I am trying to determine the Native American tribe associated with the Gallemore family who resided around Seneca and Monett, Mo. in early 1900's. My husband's grandmother (Ethel Gallemore, m. Louis Francis Tucker) always said she was of Indian descent but we have no records and would love to verify. Any information re. this would be appreciated.

Tell us more about Ethel Gallemore. Who were her parents? My husband too is related to the Gallemores around Seneca and they too have an Indian descent story, so far unproven. I have them back to North Carolina in late 1700s.
