Searching for information about a murder in Newton County in the 1920's. Iva M. Thomas was hanged and then burned to death in a barn. Her husband was a suspect but I do not know if he was ever charged or found guilty. The husband Arthur Thomas later married his mother's housekeeper and committed suicide shortly thereafter I believe in 1928.If anyone has access to obituaries, court records or any other information about this incident I would appreciate any help.
