I am looking for information on my great-grandfather Don C. (Carlos?) Demasterson. His name gets misspelled so much it's been hard searching for him. He is listed on the 1880 New Madrid County census as being 21 and working for the Girvin family. Sometime between 1880 and 1886 he married Laura Frances Hobbs from Lake County, Tennessee. I am assuming they were married in New Madrid. In January 1887 they had twin girls: Nora Lee (my grandmother) and Flora Clee. Don and Laura split up and Laura moved with the children to Swifton, Arkansas where she remarried to a John Moses Thomas. Don remarried in New Madrid in January 1899 to Fanny Cousins. This is the sum total of the information I have about him. I would appreciate any information anyone might have.
