Monroe City Girl And George Brown Wed At Monroe -------
- Monroe City, Mo., Oct 23 -- Miss Ethelyn CLINE of this city became the bride of George BROWN of Canton, Mo., in a pretty and quiet fall wedding which was solemnized at 5:30 Sunday evening in the bride's home here. The Rev. E. H. FARMER, pastor of the Methodist church here performed the impressive ceremony. The couple was unattended.
- The bride wore at her wedding a pretty frock of brown crepe with brown accessories.
- Mrs. BROWN is the daughter of Mrs. Mary CLINE of this city. She is a graduate of the Monroe City High school and was graduated from Central College At Fayette, Mo. Following her graduation she taught in the school system at Portage, Mo., and Coffeyville and Lebo, Kan.
- Mr. BROWN is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. BROWN of Toronto, Kan. He is a graduate of the High school at Coffeyville, Kan., and Central College at Fayette, Mo., and will soon receive his PH. D. degree from Iowa State University at Ames. At present he is head of the chemistry and physics department at Culver-Stockton College, Canton, Mo.
- They will make their home in Canton.
- Attending the wedding were the bride's mother, Mrs. Mary CLINE, also Misses Sara and Anna MARTIN and Mrs. E. H. FARMER.
