HAS PARTY ON 77th BIRTHDAY -------
Mrs. James Greeves Honored By Monroe City Gathering -------
- Monroe City, Mo., Oct 22 -- Mrs. James T. GREEVES was honored Sunday when a group of relatives and friends gathered at her home here to assist her in celebrating her 77th birthday anniversary. This gathering is an annual affair. A delightful day was spent. A feature of the day was a bountiful birthday dinner which was served at the noon hour.
- Mrs. GREEVES received many messages of best wishes and congratulations from her many friends. She is active for her age and does a great deal of house work and cares for her flowers and lawn which makes her home one of the most attractive in this city. She also enjoys weaving rugs.
- Those present at the dinner Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. S. E. LEAKE and family; Mrs. OSBOURNE and Herbert THOMPSON of Hannibal; Mr. CLAY of Perry, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde MARSHALL and Mr. and Mrs. Jep UTTERBACK and baby of Paris; Mrs. Hattie CUPP and son of Illinois, also Mr. and Mrs. Walter GREEVES, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil GREEVES and son, Christy; Mr. and Mrs. Ike CARLSON and son, Keith; Frank YAGER and daughter, Mrs. Fannie YAGER, Mr. and Mrs. Mae ROUSE, Charley GREEVES, Nelson HARRIS and Philys SECOY of this city.
