I am descended through Samuel Reed's first wife, Fanny/Francis Patterson, and their son, Samuel Turner Reed. This may be a second marriage but I'm not sure and have found no proof. I would be interested in learning more about his family with Ruth Swearingen as I haven't found much about them. I would be happy to exchange the information I have.

Like you I haven't found whether Samuel was from KY or TN. I have heard a story that one of them was Indian but have found no proof.

I am leaving for SLC on Wednesday but would like to correspond with you when I return in about 2 weeks.
