W. D. "Dub"
Hutchison, 65, Springdale, AR, formerly of Versailles, died Wednesday at the Springdale Memorial Hospital.
He was born Oct. 29, 1919, near
Fortuna, the son of the late Edgar E. and Mary Josephine
Hamilton Hutchison. On Dec. 5, 1942, he was married to Mary Mabel
Caron, who survives at the home.
He was a retired driver for the Greyhound
Bus Company of
California from 1939 until his retirement in 1978. He was a U. S. Navy Verteran of World War II and received four Bronze Stars and two
Battle Stars. He was a member of the
Jefferson City VFW, the American Legion and the NACCN.
Other survivors include four brothers, Leo Huchison,
Fortuna, Elven
Hutchison and Jim
Hutchison, both of Versailles, and David
Hutchison, Blackwater; four sisters, Mrs. Velma
Jones, Independence, Mrs. Betty
Huffman and Mrs. Donna
Chasteen, both of Versailles, and Mrs. Alta
Shipley, Boonville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, Versailles. Burial was in the
Newkirk Cemetery, near
Fortuna.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
