I show a Stephen WORKMAN b: ca 1809 Alleghany Co, MD. son of Benjamin WORKMAN and Hannah BILYEU. After death of Benj., Hannah and family moved to Miller Co., MO.
Suggest you have book The WORKMAN FAMILY HISTORY sent to your local library on interlibrary loan. This 400+ page book is also in the LDS library, but not to be loaned. Index alone is 114 pages or so. Covers WORKMAN and BILYEU families who intermarried, back to 1600's.
My library found a copy in obscure college library in Idaho who sent it here for interlibrary loan for three weeks.

Contact me @ KsCarrieL@aol.com. I have a book of Workman-Bilyeu with all the spellings that takes the ancestry back to mid-1600's, acquired since my original posting in 2001.
Benjamin-Hannah also my great great greats, now I'm a great grandmother. lol
