Hi! I have a letter addressed to a Miss Rachie Gillett, Pierce City, Lawrence County, MO, dated 17 Mar 1884, and I am trying to identify who Rachie is. I believe the letter to be from Ida Gillette. The salutation is to "Dear Aunt," and Ida did have an aunt named Rachel who lived in that area, however, records indicate that she died in 1878. The syntax in the letter is so odd that I am having trouble figuring out who is who. It would really help to see a census for that year. Any help appreciated. Thanks!
