I had a grandfather who, I am told, went to a sanitarium in Mt. Vernon for a bit. He was, I think, there for TB treatment, but he also could have been there because hhe eventually died of lung cancer due to his continuous smoking habit. I believe this would have been sometime in the early 1920s, and his name was Claud Godman. I would appreciate more information or a way to contact those who might have records relating to this intitution.
