Died at 1203, Agnes avenue, Kansas City, MO. Thursday, January 11, 1912, James Hughes. Mr Hughes was born in Ireland in 1836, and came to this country when a young man. He was married to Miss Sarah Hastings, at Lexington, July 1860. To this union were born thirteen children, ten of whom survive. The funeral services were conducted Saturday morning by Father Weir, at the St. Aloysius Church. His pall bearers were six of the sons. His remains were laid to rest in Mt. Saint Mary's cemetery [KCMO]. Mr. Hughes was a devoted husband and father.
