My Grandmother was Tina West Cockran born in Shelby Co. MO to Samuel Cochran & Sarah J. Joyner. Sarah's father was Robert Joyner & her mother Lucretia Latimore. Robert was an early pioneer in Shelby Co. & Sarah was born there C1834/35. According to the 1850 census Robert & his wife were born in TN. They were 49 years old at the time. Apparently Sarah died between the 1870 & 1880 census when Samuel & his children were living in Otoe Co. Rock Creek pricinct NE & Samuel was now married to Sarah's sister, Laura Joyner. I read the account of the Joyners & Latimers travail during the Civil was. Charles Latimer Joyner was marrried to Samuel;s sister, Frances Cochran. Please let me know if you have early information about any of these people. Thank-you, sharalyn@pacbell.net
