I have a booklet in which the will and belongings of Emma M. Aull of Adams County, Illinois - (who's first marriage was to a Thomas Dean - and two children, George and Martha "Marthy" were born in Missouri) and she had to pay the Clerk of Circuit Court on April 16th 1875, 29.25$ for the costs of cases No. 2485 and 2403 in the Knox Circuit Court. Would anyone know what these cases were about?
Also, I think that her children George and Martha Dean may have been born in this area before they moved to Adams County, Illinois by the 1870 Census. I was told that George and Martha Dean(e) were the nephew and niece of George Dean a govenor.
