It is near Martin City on E 125th Terrace, just off Wornall Road. I put up a web site about this cemetery in 1999. Check it out at:
http://home.ix.netcom.com/~dcvolts/Recently the land around the cemetery was sold to a housing development company and homes have been built all around the cemetery. Some of the workers must not have realized this cemetery was there. They probably thought is was just an empty lot, they dumped some of their building materials trash on it, so this needs to be removed too. This cemetery has suffered from neglect, vandalism and inaccessibility for a hundred years. The first known burial here was in 1840. The last known burial was in 1930. It is a very small cemetery with only about 45 burials. Only about half of these have tombstones remaining. My third great grandfather, John F Self, who died in 1889 is buried there.
