Yes, John Dee was my great grandfather, Thomas Lee Moutrey's brother. After their father disappeared in the California Gold Rush, his wife, Mary Fitzhugh Moutrey and her children moved to Collin Co., TX near her brother John Fitzhugh. (He built the old Watts-Fitzhugh Mill while living in Jackson Co., MO). Only John Dee went back to MO. I have heard from several of his descendants. Although both my paternal great grandparents were born in Jackson Co., MO they met in Mariposa Co., California. Thomas had come from Texas looking for his father and was staying with one of his sisters. Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Hays had come from Missouri and was staying with her grandmother, Elizabeth Berry Watts.
Thanks for the added information, I had wondered if Elivira was related to the Munday's who were in the jail collapse.
