Harold E. Brooks, 84, of Ironton [Iron County, MO], passed away March 25, 2002, at Washington County Memorial Hospital, Potosi. He was born Feb. 21, 1918, in Pilot Knob. Preceding him in death were his parents, wives, a brother and sister.

After serving his country in World War II, he worked over 20 years at Hanna Mining Company.

He is survived by his three children; one sister; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held today at 11 a.m. at Bryson's in Pilot Knob. Burial, Arcadia Valley Memorial Park.

Harold Edward Brooks, my father, passed away March 25, 2002. He had lived and worked in the Iron County area all his life. Born Feb 21, 1918 to Fred and Georgia Belle (Pinkley) Brooks in Pilot Knob, he went to school, was a World War II veteran, and worked at Hanna Mining in Iron Mountain and Pilot Knob for many years.
He was married to Zola Blanch (Thompson) and they had three children, DorothyNell Rapa, Bismarck, MO, Harold Edward, Jr. Lake Wappappelo, and Donna Sue Higgins, Tempe, Arizona.

Surnames: Wilson, Pinkley, Ritter, Geary
I am Lynne Geary, daughter of Marilyn Wilson Ritter. She is the daughter of Bessie Pinkley Wilson. Bessie and Georgia were sisters. Mom is the last surviving daughter of Bessie Wilson. We are identifying family photos and trying to share them with family.

Donna, my uncle was married to Dorothy and still lives in Bismarck.
