There seems to be some confusion over at least two Louis (or Lewis) Heckathorns.

The son of Simeon Charles Heckathorn and Elazine Noami Frazier appears to be Louis D. 11/23/1870 (Marseilles, OH)- 10/16/1910 (San Angelo, TX) m. 6/19/1895 to Emma Sabert and buried with her in the Sarcoxie, MO cemetary.

There appears also to be a Louis (Lewis?) Patrick Heckathorn born 1/7/1971 in MO, died 7/26/1918, buried in Eklaka, Carter County, MT, who was the son of James W. and Mrs. C. Heckathorn.

I did not find an "L.W. Heckathorn." Despite the apparent Missouri connection, the two lines do not appear closely related, the Simeon heckathorn family having come from Ohio.
