I have several ABBEY descendants that were living in Springfield, Greene Co., MO.

Reuben Ferguson ABBEY b. 1855 NY.; d. 1933 Springfield, Greene co., MO. He was married to Mary Elizabeth (COX) b. 1859 Willow Springs, Howell Co., MO.; d. 1939 Springfield, Greene Co., MO.

A daughter of Reuben & Mary ABBEY - Nora May (ABBEY) b. 1891 MO.; d. 1971 Springfield, Greene Co., MO.; m. George Washington BRITTON about 1917 in MO. They had one son - Rev. Charles William BRITTON. He lived in Springfield, Green Co., MO. and had a church and school there. Rev. Charles William BRITTON died in 1985 and is buried in Springfield.

Another daughter of Reuben & Mary ABBEY - Dora J. (ABBEY) b. 1885 MO.; d. 1939 Springfield, Greene Co., MO. She married (1) R. C. Jones in 1906. They had children - Columbus "Buddy" Jones & Jewell Jones. Dora married (2) Charles L. FARRIS/PHARRIS 1923 in Springfield, Greene Co., MO. Dora is said to have married (3) Mr. HOUSE. I have no further information for him.
