Stanley is "Stanley Henry Atteberry" b. 12-21-1890, d. 1-17-1945...married Susan Murray on 2-20-1920. He is the son of James Oliver Atteberry, b. 1-30-1860, d. 10-6-1941..his wife was Mary Elizabeth McCorkle, b. 10-8-1859.......James Oliver's parents were: John Bradley Atteberry b. 1830 and Mary Elizabeth Bills......John's parents were George Washington Atteberry MD, b. 1809 and Joanna Olive Atteberry, b. 1802.....George Washington Atteberry's parents were: Moses Atteberry b, 1782 and Mary Alexander....Moses parents were: Nathaniel Atteberry, b. 1750 wife unknown....Nathaniel's parents are: William and Sarah Atteberry.......Sandy, I've been going through this line with a fine tooth comb as I think the answer is in the line somewhere. Stanley's parents, John and Mary had 14 children......only which 4 are males.....James Oliver, George Washington, George Harrison, and Daniel Boone. James Oliver died in 1941 (a possibility)....George Harrison died before 1865 so he's out, Daniel Boone died in 1915, so he's out.....I don't know the date of death for George Washington Atteberry, so that's a possibility still, he was born in 1860.....John Bradley Atteberry's brother, Matthew F Atteberry MD b. 2-17-1837 is where I strongly feel the line goes.....I believe he may be John's granfather. He married two women, Pauline E Walker and Sue Alder. The only children that I have been able to trace so far for Matthew F Atteberry is: Charles Everett Atteberry, b. 1871....consequently, he was Melvina J Ledbetter's first husband. Matthew F. Atteberry MD also had a son named Jackson Atteberry, b. 1875......I'm sure he has more children than these two. I suspect he has a son named Joseph, which is Melvina J. Ledbetter's 2nd husband....her third is John Elmer Goodenough....It is possible that Matthew F Atteberry is the father and not the grandfather to John as he may have had him late in life....he did marry a second time to a woman named Sue Adler?
