Mark Emerald "Spider" Gant, 54, Krakow, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Thursday, July 5, 2012.
Mr. Gant was born Jan. 8, 1958, in Escinaba, Mich., the son of Rosalind and Dale Gant and stepson of Solon Gibbs.
He was united in marriage to Patty Heintz, on Aug. 24, 1985.
Mr. Gant never met a stranger and could often be counted on to create a smile with one of his many jokes.
Whether he was at home with loved ones or at work, he always enjoyed working with people, as was evident at Coach's Inn, the St. Clair IGA Deli and Spider's Lawn Care.
Mr. Gant was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Washington.
He is survived by the love of his life, Patty, and the two greatest joys of his life, his children Jessica and Jonathan.
Mr. Gant also is survived by one sister, Gail Olson and husband Joe; one half brother, Michael Halm and wife June; his parents-in-law, Tom and Betty Heintz; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Tom Heintz and wife Debbie, Laurie Brown and husband Jeff, Kathy Powell and husband Jerry, and Beckie Heintz; nieces; nephews; two godchildren; other stepfamily; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Services were held Saturday, July 7, at First Baptish Church, Villa Ridge, with the Rev. Dr. Mark Bangert officiating.
