Lorena May Wittneber, daughter of Mrs. Mary Tritch of Beaufort and the late Charles W. Tritch, was born near New Haven on 20 Feb 1921. She passed away at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Verna and Walter Hoemann, of Leslie on 26 July 1978, in her 58th year.

She was baptized at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church near New Haven as an infant and confirmed at the same church on 20 May 1934. It was in that church school where she received her education.

On 14 Sep 1952, she was united in marriage with William Wittneber at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Salisbury Ave., St. Louis.

Surviving are her husband, William; a daughter, Donna Lee Daly, of Alexandria, VA; son-in-law, Walter Daly; a grandson, Erich; her mother, Mrs. Mary Tritch, of Leslie; three sisters, Mildred Tritch of Beaufort, Verna Hoemann of of Leslie and Esther Tidas of Emminence; three brothers, Fred Tritch of Laramie, Wy, Roy Tritch of Washington and Orville Tritch of New Haven; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her father, Charles W. Tritch, in 1952, and two brothers, Charles Tritch in 1977, and Earl in infancy.

Funeral services were held July 29 from Bethlehem Lutheran Church near New Haven. Interment was in the church cemetery.
