I am sure you will agree with me as a fellow genealogical researcher that a family heritage that is
lost is truly a very sad thing. I am hoping someone out there can help me with one of my classic
dead ends. I have searched for a very long time for information, and at this time I have exhausted
all possible public, governmental, and clan outlets for information. I am searching for information
for Isaac Lemmons (LEMONS) and his wife Anna P. PREWITT (Pruitt) their children and
families. It is my hope that by placing this message on these boards, someone out there with a
small scrap of information will see this message and contact me. The best way I can envision to
start this despaired search for information is to tell you what I know and go from there. I would
greatly appreciate any and all assistance. The following are the facts that I know of to date:
Isaac (Lemmons) Lemons
1. Isaac Lemons, born September 27, 1803 in Kentucky, no death information. He married (1)
Anna P. (Pruitt) Prewitt, they married in Missouri, but no date information. Anna was born
February 06, 1811 in Virginia. No death information. The Lemons family moved from Wright
County, Missouri after the marriage of their daughter Mary Jane to Coma Marah in 1867, too
parts unknown.

Children of Isaac Lemons and Anna Prewitt are:

i. Mary Jane Lemons, born January 22, 1847 in Kentucky; died March 26, 1929 in Franklin Co.
Missouri; married Coma Victor Marah November 10, 1867 in Franklin Co. Missouri.
ii. Elizabeth Lemons.
iii. Melvina Lemons, born September 1838 in Kentucky; died December 05, 1871; married
Thomas J. Brown.
iv. William Lemons, born 1844 in Kentucky.
v. Thomas Jefferson Lemons, born 1848 in Missouri; married Sarah Ann Dickenson.
vi. Martha Lemons, born 1855.
vii. John Lemons, born March 21, 1858; died February 19, 1909; married Susan Todd.
viii. Sarah Lemons, born 1842 in Kentucky; died December 1860 in franklin Co. Missouri;
married Coma Victor Marah August 25, 1858 in Franklin Co. Missouri.
Please note that Coma Marah married two of the Lemon sisters.
Does any of this ring any bells? It is my hope that this information will assist you in your
research, and by assisting you, you will assist me, whereas you if you can add to this information,
or see something that I canÂ’t you will let me know. I have been looking for a long time now, and
it is my hope that we can assist each other. Can you help me? If you think you have any
information please do not hesitate to contact me directly at: applegla@netins.net. Thank You
Very Much for Your Time!
Sincerely,

Berna David Hunter
