My gggrandfather was Morton BOURN, b VA ca 1795. He moved to Franklin County, MO, from VA , sometime after 1835 and before the 1850 census. His wife did not appear on the 1850 census and have unsubstantiated suggestions that Morton's wife died ca 1847-1848.

There was a recorded marriage between a Morton BOWEN and Elizabeth Greenlee on 16-Dec-1819, in Frederick County, VA, and thus Morton's wife may be have been named Elizabeth.

Is anyone else doing research on the BOURN family of Franklin County, MO, and do you have any information on Morton's wife?
