Edward H. Brader was born at New Haven, MO on 3 January 1897. His parents were Herman and Mary (Temmermeister) Brader. He passed away on 28 August 1981 in his 85th year.

On 31 January 1897 he was baptized at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church by Rev. G. E. Ahner and was confirmed in the same church on 9 April 1911 by Rev. A.C. Hemmerding. It was in the Buffalo Ridge School where he received his education.

On 31 July 1921, he was united in holy matrimony with Miss Sophia Temme at the St. John's Lutheran Church near Beaufort, MO by Rev. W.C. Borchers. Following their marriage they resided on the farm where he was born and remained there until 1966 when they came to Gerald to make their home. They were privileged to observe their 60th wedding anniversery in July of this year.

Mr. Brader was preceded in death by one brother, Oscar. Surviving are his wife, Sophia; a sister-in-law, Louise Brader of Washington, MO; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held from the Oltmann Funeral Home in Gerald on 31 August 1981 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. W. David May officiating. Interment followed in the Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery near New Haven, MO.
