Oscar Charles Buscher, 71, St. Clair, died in Washington Saturday, July 20, 2002.
He was born at Linn June 24,1931,the son of William Buscher and Hannah Buscher, nee Bogle.
On November 29, 1951, he was united in marriage to Vera Alma Winkelmann and two children were born to this union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Hannah Buscher; and four brothers, John Buscher, Arnie
Buscher, Clarence Buscher and Ben Buscher.
Mr. Buscher was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church, St. Clair.
He served his country as a Private First Class in the United States Army during the Korean War, entering on June 12,
195, and receiving his honorable discharge on June 12, 1954.
Mr. Buscher was employed as an assembler for Ford Motor Company in St. Louis, retiring after 30 years of service.
He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 325.
Mr. Buscher is survived by his wife Vera Buscher of St. Clair; his son Charles Buscher and wife Susan, and their children William and Nicole Buscher all of St. Clair; his daughter, Alma Halbert and husband George and their children, Daryl Buscher and wife Crystal and Heather Halbert, all of St. Clair; one great-grandchild, Haley Buscher, St.Clair; two brothers, Everett Buscher,Idaho,and Silas Buscher,St. James;four sisters,Josephine Holland,Washington,Serena Benton,St. Clair,Katherine Gelven,Belle,and Veneda Brautigam, Washington; brothers- and sisters-in-law;nieces; nephews; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 24, at Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair, with Father Paul Telken
Interment was in Midlawn Memorial Gardens, Union.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association are preferred.
The Buscher family was served by Russell Colonial Funeral Home, St. Clair.
