I am looking for information on how to obtain a copy of marriage certificates. I am working with a professional researcher to find my great grandparents. Her belief is that if I could obtain a copy of my great grandfather Alfred Jackson Reed's marriage license, the names of his parents would be listed. His death certificate only listed a father--John Reed. His marriage is on Ancestry.com but no information is given except the date. I am also looking for the marriage of his sister Lavinia Jane Reed to Thomas A. Patterson. If anyone can do a lookup I will pay the charges.
