I have been researching the LaFerney family and my father-in-law was the grandson of James Monroe LaFerney. This might be the brother of Steven Decator LaFerney. I have gone back to 1617 St. Godard of Roune, Normandy, France. The name then was Couture, Guiliaume William II. The LaFerney name has changed several times. I have lots of information but it is trying to put it all in order. If any of this is of interest to you, let me know. Jackie
