I too wondered if this Joshua could have been one of the BARNES soldiers listed in Jerry Ponder's book. I was thinking that maybe what was read as Co. "B" on the grave marker could have been the Co. "E" or "R" listed in his book. If the grave stone is worn, either could have been read as a "B". With only initials given for these fellows in the book, it is difficult to know if either of those mentioned might be Joshua. I will have to check further on them.
