I am researching my grandfather's line and was wondering if anyone had information on Alson Burney, his wife Mary Ann Patterson or their son Elbert Elvin Lee Burney and his wife Margaret Melvina Compton. I do not have a lot of information and would appreciate any basic information as well as any family stories or pictures. I'm working on this for you but the 1860 and 1870 census have his wife as Amanda E. age 20 and 30 respectively. However, there is a son 9, in the 1860 census. This would make her 11 when the first child was born. Was Mary Ann Patterson a first wife?
