Seeking info on Andrew (1800-1874) & Catherine Wilson (1797-1878). I believe they were the forerunners of the family to Crawford Co. Settled at Wilsons Mill (now Wesco) and are buried in the cemetery there.
I believe they may have been the parents of Sarah Amanda Louisa Wilson (1821/26-1907) who married John Wesley Setzer in Lincoln Co. NC 1841.

Thanks Larry,
I have the books. I was hoping there might be someone out there who had info that wasnt in the books.
The Matthew & Julianna Arney Wilson listed dont pan out as parents for Sarah Amanda Louisa Wilson. Most researchers say their daughter was Sarah Paulina Wilson.
I am a Morrison of Crawford Co. However, there were 2 distinct lines of Morrisons in Crawford Co. The line to which you are probably referring to is connected on my mothers side not my fathers. His line has only been in Crawford Co for about 75 years or so.
Thanks so much for trying to help.
Merrie

I'm not personally related to the Morrison's of Dent county, but my great grandfather William McGinnis' brother John married Margaret "Luttie" Morrison on 12-16-1890. (She is probably in a few photos listed on our message board) Margaret's parents were Arlena and Septumas Morrison. John worked in Sligo, as well as other members of my family, then moved into Salem after the Sligo furnace shut down and I think John started a mercantile business. He moved to S Jackson Street in Salem next to his brother Anthony "Hiney" McGinnis. If you or anyone has an interest in Sligo, contact me for an invitation to a private message board. We have some photos and stories on the former town of Sligo. The message board will be open to anyone with an interest, just e-mail me with a request. My wife & I have a small farm not to far from Sligo off HWY 19 North.
