Does anyone have information on William Porter, b. 1811 in
Ky. The 1850 census shows he is living in Boonville, Cooper Co., Mo. with his occupation as Merchant, with wife Martha and children: Eliza A., John, Charles F., Morgan and William, who I think is my grandfather. However, I can find nothing to determine if this is his father and mother. The elder William's family moved to Arkansas between 1850-1860 but he is not listed with them. If anyone can help with this I would be most grateful.
