I am looking for information on the John McCulloch family in Cooper county from 1830 to 1850. I believe John McCulloch may be buried in Cooper county having died there sometime between November 4, 1850 (after the U.S. census) to the summer of 1852. John McCulloch was born about 1772 in Virginia (I believe Albemarle county), married Sarah W. (born 5-17-1807 in VA, died 5-10-1886 in Crow, OR) in Virginia and had four children all born in Virginia (Martha abt. 1820, John Givens 6-6-1822, Isabella abt. 1825, and Thomas 5-12-1828). Between May 1828 (when Thomas was born) and the 1830 U.S. census the family moved from Virginia to Cooper county, Missouri. The family appears in the 1830, 1840, and 1850 U.S. census for Cooper county, MO. In September 1852 Sarah W. McCulloch with her son Thomas McCulloch homesteaded in Lane county, Oregon. They were joined in Oregon in 1854 by Sarah's other son John Givens McCulloch. I believe that John McCulloch, since he was 35 years older than his wife Sarah, either died in Missouri (probably Cooper county) or on the Oregon trail sometime after the 1850 U.S. census but before September 1852 when Sarah and son Thomas homesteaded in Oregon. I also am looking for any information regarding the daughters Martha and Isabella (possibly marriage records). Any help would greatly be appreciated.
