Surnames: Powers, Simmons, Johnson,
Please help, I haven't found anything further than this, thinking my relatives are from Ireland or ?. My Great Great Grandmother was Minnie Johnson (Simmons)

I have found her, only here:
According to the 1910 Census, Missouri Cooper County

John M(McNeal?)Simmons aged 49 August 30, 1869 Kansas
(another search says sept 21) 1864 died feb 1951 in Cooper County, Pilot Grove, at Peninsula church and Cemetary

Margaret Matilda Simmons (Powers on Minnies birth cert) aged 45 Oct 1863, 1866 died april 7 1947
in Cooper County, Pilot Grove Penninsula Church Cemetery

Children:
1. William Newton Simmons aged 18 November 18, 1891

2. Henry Thomas Simmons Aged 16 1899 death 1970 married mar 12 to

3. MINNIE MATILDA(Mae)Simmons (Mothers maiden Powers) Aged 13 Feb 13, 1887 (Death index says Mar 29 1889)

***Married a CLYDE Johnson, had children, had 1. Leona in 1909 (died Jan 2004), 2. Pearl(Thelma)in 1912 (died Mar 1 2006), 3. Clyda Mae in 1920, (died July 16, 2002), 4. Eugene (still Living, Oregon?)****

4.Benjamin Edgar Simmons Aged 9 Dec 4, 1900

5. Stella Elizabeth Simmons Aged 6 Oct 31, 1903

6. Oscar W or A Simmons Aged 3 Mar 18, 1906?

Try www.thomafamily.org/ as I believe you will find what you need there. But I believe most of the Simmons researchers are not going to have the same information on Margaret Matilda nee' Hanlin Simmons as opposed to Margaret Matilda nee' Powers Simmons as you have.

Thank you! But now I am lost further... LOL Minnies name isn't matilda, that was just the only one I found. All I know is my great great grandma's death certificate says Minnnie Mae Simmons, and her mother's maiden name was Powers, she died in Modesto, California in 1961. And she married a "clyde johnson."

I think I am back to square zero.

There is a book in the Boonville Branch of the Boonslick Public Library entitled Johnson, Clyde History of the Phillip Johnson Family, Historical, Genealogical, Biographical. c1968
