I am looking for some suggestions on how to go about looking for an adoption in Clay County that took place in 1945. The hospital was supposedly in Excelsior Springs and has since burned down and been replaced with a new
building.(?) Is there someone in the area that does this kind of search? How open are the county records for a person to do their own search? Any help would be appreciated.
