I am searching for information regarding the WORKMAN family known to have resided in or near SPARTA about the turn of the century. My grandfather was Augustus Workman who was born in Christian Co. 12 March 1887 and died 1 September 1961 in Joplin, MO. (Occupation: Miner, Galena Ks.) Brothers were: Samuel Henry Workman and Maynard Workman. One sister, Cora. Suspect their father may have been Samuel Kenyon Workman.
