Jan. 9, 1962 - Jan. 25, 2002 Darryl Wayne Perkins, 40, Harrisonville, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002, in Harrisonville. He was born Jan. 9, 1962, in Independence, the son of Harold and Gladys (Dailey) Perkins. Mr. Perkins Grew up in El Dorado Springs, and was a 1980 graduate of El Dorado Springs High School. On Dec. 19, 1981, he married Sarah Elizabeth Moler. Mr. Perkins owned and operated Perkins Transmission in Harrisonville for the last nine years. Surviving are his wife, Sarah Perkins, and a daughter, Sarah Fae Perkins, both of the home; his parents, Harold and Gladys Perkins, El Dorado Springs; a brother, Harold Perkins Jr., El Dorado Springs; and a sister, Debra Richter, Fort Collins, Colo. Casketbearers were David Cox, Jason Ogle, Randy Richter, Bill Moler, Harold Perkins Jr. and Matthew Moler. Services were Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Charles Kaighan of the Grace Baptist Church, Harrisonville, officiating. Music was by Hannah Kaighan, Susanna Kaighan and Hannah Kaighan as vocalists and Elaine Kaighan, pianist, and Carla Hargis and Vonda Savage playing clarinets. Burial was in the Orient Cem-e-tery, Harrisonville, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
