Went to Cass Co., MO. He and his wife moved in with their daughter and son-in-law, near Belton, Cass Co., MO.

We are researching the descendants of Robert ATKINSON and Catherine KOONTZ ATKINSON. Catherine KOONTZ was the daughter of Henry KOONTZ and Susan UNKNOWN. Catherine KOONTZ was married to Robert Atkinson/Adkinson in Kanawha County, VA(now WV) in 1807 by John Lee, Esq. She is listed as Counts on her marriage record. On the 1810 census Robert ATKERSON(mispelled) is living next door to Henry KOUNTS. The KOONTZ surname has been spelled many different ways. In 1820 Henry KOONTZ is living in Nicholas County, VA(WV). I am in a KOONTZ informal research group and we have information on Alpheus ATKINSON's parents and siblings. Please contact me at khnabours at sbcglobal.net.
