I was born and raised in Belton, MO, which is Cass County, MO. The town was founded in 1872 by George Washington SCOTT. Does he appear anywhere in your tree? Is he a member of the Scott family from Cass County you're researching? If he is then you might want to contact the Belton Historical Society. They have a lot of info about this line of Scotts who lived in the northeast corner of the county in the late 1800s.
