I'm interested in a Jacob Riffe who married a Ruth Martin in Ray County, MO on 15 Feb 1821 and had several children.
In the US Census for Ray Co., MO they have Jacob listed as 53 years of age and from KY. I find him in the US Census for Ray Co. Mo in 1830,1840, 1850, 1860 and 1870. Children were Isaac, 26; twins, Martha and Margaret 17; Susan 16; Elizabeth14; Hirman 12; Sarah 10; Andrew 8, Augusta 6. I think there may have been some more kids. This is from the 1850 Census. Jacob's daughter,Augusta, my great great grandmother married Peyton W. Marlow, in Ray County, MO, on the 13th of December, 1860. She was much younger that Peyton.
By any chance is Jacob related to any of the Riffes you are disussing. Sure would love to know. Thanks. Pat
