My name is Vicki Ray Yates. My GGGGGrandfather was William Myrick Speights, Jr., son of William Myrick Speights, Sr. of Dobbs Co. NC. This is as far as I have gotten in my search. I have the Speights in Dobbs Co. NC. My family settled in Hancock Co. Ga.. William H. Speights was the son of William M. Speights, Jr. His son, Levi, was my great grandmother, Carrie Belle Speights, father. Carrie Belle was the mother of my grandmother, Mabel Hitchcock Ray. Her son, Ralph Hitchcock Ray, Sr., who died in Jan. at the age of 94, was my father.
