I would recommend swinging by the Archive center in Jackson, Mo, first. They have been going through all 250+ cemeteries in Cape Girardeau County for more than a year. They can tell you if it is one they have documented or what condition a cemetery is in. Some are just completely destroyed down there. They have only gone through around 80 or so cemeteries so far, but have a list of who is buried within those cemeteries, so it could cut down on searching time.
