John Dodridge Williams, according to Switzler's History of Boone County, Missouri, lived in Rocky Fork township in Boone County from his birth in 1830 to Isaac and Dorcas Williams (natives of PA). During the Civil War, he witnessed the killing of Dr. Angell by the Federals at Williams' gate. I am an Angell and am trying to find my heritage. Are any Williams cognizant of a journal or diary or newspaper article, etc. which might tell me WHICH Dr. Angell this was? (I understand that a Dr. John M. Angel left Boone County for the California gold rush, and I am aware of a Dr. Henry Angell who hailed from Illinois. But, which Dr. Angell is this?)
