Researching Bernard John LYNCH of Ralls Co, MO. He left will, 1838, with 11 proven children, Cornelius N, John H., Bernard M, William L., Elisha O., Sarah, Ann, Mary, Winnifred, Jane, and Susan. What is repository for Catholic records in Ralls Co, MO?
I believe these Ralls county LYNCH families are related to LYNCH families found in Boone county, MO. John H. Lynch of Ralls Co, MO had a son named Kirtley. (Family surname from Kentucky.) John Bernard Lynch, grandson of Cornelius Lynch, Sr.(of Boone County) named a son, Kirtley.
Is Cornelius Lynch, Sr., will filed 1842, of Boone County, MO possibly related to Bernard J. Lynch, will filed 1838, of Ralls County, MO?
Can anyone tell me the repository for Catholic Church Records from 1800s Boone County, MO? There was not a congregation and building there until, 1860s-1870s. However, in "History of Boone County" book mention is made of LYNCH families holding mass at their homes with a visiting priest. These Catholic families would have had their marriages performed, children baptised, etc. by a priest, who would have filed his records somewhere. Where do I look for Catholic Church records, specifically those for the LYNCH families that lived in Boone County,MO in the mid 1800s?
I am specifically looking for Cornelius Lynch, Sr. who left a will in Boone County, 1842. He mentions his son Henry Lynch(who is gone and he believes is deceased) and deceased son, Cornelius Lynch, Jr. Is Cornelius Lynch, Jr. buried in Boone Co, MO? Is there a Boone County Cemetery Book?
Father of Cornelius Lynch, Sr. is believed to be David Lynch of Virginia.
Any help connecting these families is appreciated.
thank you,
