I'm trying to solve a mystery....Page and Matilda Bennett are my husband's 3rd great grandparents. According to Evans & Thompson's "Tombstone Records of Boone County, Missouri," they both died in 1867: Matilda on January 24th, and Page on June 26th.

The year seems unlikely, though, since they both appear in the 1870 census, in Cedar Township, Dwelling 307, Family 322, along with sons David L., Argalus, and W. Walton!

I'm willing to accept that their headstones were misread...I tried to find them in Nashville Cemetery, and wasn't able to locate the stones. Does anyone have any other credible evidence as to the dates of death for this couple?
