MISS ALTHA BRANDON AND OMER ELFRINK MARRY

Miss Althea Brandon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Brandon of Cape Girardeau became the bride of OMER ELFRINK, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob ELFRINK of Leopold in a double ring ceremony at St. Mary’s Church in Cape Girardeau Saturday, August 20 Msgr. Marion Forst performed the ceremony.

Members of the wedding party were the bridal couples brothers, nieces and nephews. Bridesmaids were Misses Betty Harrell of Glennon, Marilyn Degonia of Cadet and Miss Mary Jane ELFRINK of Portageville; Estel Harrell was best man and Larry Harrell and Paul Brandon were groomsmen. Tom ELFRINK and Louis Cordia were ushers. Alice Cordia and Nancy ELFRINK were flower girls and Floyd ELFRINK was ring bearer.

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Harold Brandon of Granite City, Ill., wore a nylon lace over satin gown fashioned with long tapered sleeves and scoop neck outlines in pearls. Her fingertip veil was secured in a lace trimmed Juliet cap. Her bouquet was of white asters and carnations. The bridesmaids wore blue nylon net over taffeta with matching headbands and the flower girls were in frosted organdy over blue taffeta. They all carried colonial bouquets of pink and white asters.
