Mrs. John Turner attacked with a hammer

I'm looking for information on an event that happened in Great Bend in 1913. I read about it in the Adams County Iowa newspaper.

Great Bend, Kansas: Mrs. John Turner is in critical condition as a result of being attacked in her home by a man who struck her several times on the head with a hammer. Her scull was fractured. A posse that started in search of the culprit gave up the pursuit until bloodhounds could be obtained. Mrs. Turner says her assailant had hidden in a closet in the house while she was out.

I'm trying to track down what happened to my gggrandmother Ida May Turner, wife of John H. Turner, who died in 1913. She lived for much of her life in Adams County, Iowa (which was why I was looking in that paper) but I can find nothing about her death there -- which is strange because they put EVERYTHING in the paper. I'm wondering if this Mrs. John Miller may have been Ida Mae. She was born in Muscatine, Iowa Feb. of 1966.

Can anyone help with this? Anyone know who this Mrs. John Miller was who was attacked with a hammer?
