I. M. Calhoun Dead

At 2 p.m. Monday, December 22, I. M. Calhoun, aged 42 years, died at his residence in this city of pneumonia. Mr. Calhoun leaves a wife and four children - two little boys and two little girls. Deceased was highly respected by all of our people and the Ledger joins all in this community in extending sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.

Funeral services over the remains of I. M. Calhoun, who died at his home in Mexico Monday afternoon, were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the late residence of the deceased; Rev. J. H. Prichett officiated. The pall bearers were W. S. Claggett, Grant Wright, W. A. Wayne, Frank Pearl, J. A. Brown and John Waugh. Interment was made in the Mexico Cemetery.

I. H. Calhoun died at his home in Mexico, Mo., Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock. He was a brother-in-law of Mr. Edgar Threlkeld, formerly of Auxvasse.

NOTES: Irvin M. CALHOUN was born on or about December 1, 1860 and was a son of Robert Austin and Martha Rachel (CRAIG) CALHOUN. Irvin also had a brother Robert C. CALHOUN, born 1870, who married Vannie C. ELLER on 16 November 1892 in Audrain Co. MO. On 7 October 1885, Irvin married Miss Anna Marcella "Cellie" THRELKELD in Mexico, Audrain Co. MO. Cellie was a daughter of Marcellus and Elizabeth "Eliza" J. (SMITH) THRELKELD. Cellie was born about 1864 in Salt River Twp. of Audrain Co. MO in or near the Beaver Dam Community, a few miles south of Mexico. As given above, Cellie has a brother named Edgar THRELKELD. Her other brothers were Hiram and Thaddeus. Also as given above, Irvin M. CALHOUN died of pneumonia on December 22, 1902 at his home in Mexico, Audrain Co. MO; and was buried in Mexico on December 24, 1902.
