Hi! John A. Beasley was my gg grandfather! I come from the James Beasley mentioned in this obit. Are you related to him also? Thanks, Cindy

Funeral For Audrain Man
Thursday Afternoon At
Union Church
John A. Beasley, well known retired Audrain Farmer, died at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the County Infirmary, after a year of ill health. He was 87 years old.

A native of South Carolina where he was born July 19, 1849, Mr. Beasley was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Beasley. He was married in Virginia to Miss Nancy Bybee and they moved to Audrain County in 1904 and for many years they resided on a farm 10 miles southeast of Mexico. Mrs. Beasley died May 24, 1920.

Surviving Mr. Beasley are a daughter Mrs. Annie Schremp of south of Mexico; a son, Charley Beasley of this city; sixteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Two children, Miss Creacy Beasley and James Beasley are dead. Mr. Beasley was a member of the Union Baptist Church southeast of here, and funeral services were held there at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Reverend J. S. Jesse officiating. Burial was in the adjoining Union Cemetery.

Mr. Beasley was a well known Audrain citizen with many friends who with The Ledger express sympathy to his family in his death.
